Dave and I share milk. He typically beats me to work by at least a couple of minutes, and is on his way to the coffee pot with a bag of Big Gear Grind by the time I lug my yawning self up the stairs.

Matt has one big leg. What makes his big leg bigger than his regular leg is a titanium rod in his shin. You wouldn’t notice unless he pointed it out to you, but his right leg is a bit bigger than his left.
Even bigger than Matt’s right leg is his heart. A strong, honest soul, he’s one of those people that can disagree without hurting anyone’s feelings.

Slow, steady steps… Ka-Pow! And Sam is in a fine samurai stance at the top of the stairs. Outlined by the doorway, he reminds me of an extra from ‘Harry-Karry’. From karate chop position, he walks through the door and often we find ourselves saying, ‘Good Morning!’ with an overly extended wave that uses the whole arm. Naturally we’ve gone from ancient Asia to synchronized swimming moves without a flinch…

-12 degrees 12/28/07
As I rode to work this morning I thought it might be interesting to start a log of the coldest commute as the days go by this winter. Last year I believe Brad & I rode in once when it was -24 or -28, I can't even remember because it was so cold. So today we will start with -12F. Brad, Matt(welder) and myself made the cold ride to the warm Moots building this morning. I checked the weather.com site and it said -12F with a wind chill of -25. Cold for sure, but I'm sure there's colder to come. I will do some fact checking but believe the coldest on record in Steamboat was -65F! I can assure you I won't be going anywhere if we ever reach that.Now that we are ready to head home for the night, we have warmed to a balmy 1 degree. Crisp.

You make me feel like a wimp arse because its 35 in Denver and I won’t ride!
So now isn’t a good time to demo ride Moots in Steamboat?
Not unless you are training for Idiabike or some crazy stuff like that...bring down suit and studded tires.
