Matt has one big leg. What makes his big leg bigger than his regular leg is a titanium rod in his shin. You wouldn’t notice unless he pointed it out to you, but his right leg is a bit bigger than his left.
Even bigger than Matt’s right leg is his heart. A strong, honest soul, he’s one of those people that can disagree without hurting anyone’s feelings.

Dave and I share milk. He typically beats me to work by at least a couple of minutes, and is on his way to the coffee pot with a bag of Big Gear Grind by the time I lug my yawning self up the stairs.

Slow, steady steps… Ka-Pow! And Sam is in a fine samurai stance at the top of the stairs. Outlined by the doorway, he reminds me of an extra from ‘Harry-Karry’. From karate chop position, he walks through the door and often we find ourselves saying, ‘Good Morning!’ with an overly extended wave that uses the whole arm. Naturally we’ve gone from ancient Asia to synchronized swimming moves without a flinch…

Characters…..
A quick shot of the group ride on Tuesday night. It was a great ride of about 1.5 hours with some characters....you know the ones...you really haven't seen them all winter long, you know they love to ride and wouldn't miss the first ride of the season no matter the weather. Good people on bikes I tell you. Sitting on a bike cruising along catching up on life, the good the bad and the funny….. In the Steamboat group we have them all....Olympic athletes, cat 1/pro, and working stiffs that love to kill each other for the town sprint. No sprinting last night, just cruising, talking and learning to ride next to each other again. The season is here, now we just need a little warm weather! I know in the picture it looks as if we are taking the whole lane...well kinda. We are a well behaved group as not to upset the local drivers for the most part....we definitely enforce the yellow line rule.

I think that picture makes me look fat.
Don’t worry about the phat...I think it’s the winter layers.....I think. Or you need to go on a diet! Ouch.
Maybe you should wear more black?? I’m just happy that I have photographic evidence that I have been in front of Barker at least once. I have also noticed my trademark/embarrassing upright style is being well documented - damn those tight hamstrings.
