Slow, steady steps… Ka-Pow! And Sam is in a fine samurai stance at the top of the stairs. Outlined by the doorway, he reminds me of an extra from ‘Harry-Karry’. From karate chop position, he walks through the door and often we find ourselves saying, ‘Good Morning!’ with an overly extended wave that uses the whole arm. Matt has one big leg. What makes his big leg bigger than his regular leg is a titanium rod in his shin. You wouldn’t notice unless he pointed it out to you, but his right leg is a bit bigger than his left.
Even bigger than Matt’s right leg is his heart. A strong, honest soul, he’s one of those people that can disagree without hurting anyone’s feelings.

Dave and I share milk. He typically beats me to work by at least a couple of minutes, and is on his way to the coffee pot with a bag of Big Gear Grind by the time I lug my yawning self up the stairs.

Moots Refurb….After…
The previous post by the G man talked about re-furbing his Moots cross bike. One might wonder how the dealyo works. Here's how it goes:~You've got a Moots Titanium frame that has seen better days(read, it's been ridden, crashed, drooled on, pistol whipped and so on). You want it to look good for the upcoming season and don't mind parting with your frame for about 3-4 weeks.
~Give Moots a call on the bat phone (our normal number) with the serial number at the ready.
~You are greeted by friendly voice here at Moots.
~Moots person takes your information...(name, number, serial number from frame, payment method, eye color)
~You send the striped frame (read: no parts on it, notta, nothing, zero)
~On the outside of the box is placed the RA # that nice Moots person has given you
~ship frame to Moots World Headquarters.
~wait patiently for 3-4 weeks
~during the 3-4 weeks we do the following:
~strip all old decals from frame
~weld on disc mount if desired (mountain frames only)
~check frame alignment
~add head badge if you like
~reblast entire frame
~apply new decals (current style only)
~replace Ybb shock sleeve (parts are extra)
~box in beautiful new Moots frame box
~ship back to you (shipping is not included in refurb price)
Pricing....
Refurb only ............$ 300.00
Refurb add disc.......$ 350.00
The look on your face when you pull your frame out of the box and see the beauty restored to your rig.....priceless.
I kid you not, I've had customers call back and say "there must have been a mistake, this looks like new"....no it's just another beautiful benefit to having a ti bike.

Is that the Psychlo X SL version?

This is my “back-up” bike which is not SL. My race bike is SL. In order to justify 2 cross bikes right now my SL race bike doubles as my road bike during the summer.
