Rain,Ice,Snow and Mud….
make for great cross racing. All four of these conditions were encountered during our trip to Kansas....and even some sun on the last day to make us all warm and fuzzy if only for an afternoon. Glen and Jon made there way back to Steamboat without incident....kinda. Johnny Law was out in numbers to make sure we made it home safely. The gas foot tends to get a little heavy on the back end of a long road trip.....sorry officer point taken.
The racing was challenging to say the least. The internet is full of photos and stories at this point...we have a few of our own. The promoters should be proud of themselves for putting on an event that drew in 2000+ racers, friends and loads of industry folks for a really fun time.
A very quick recap of Glen and Jons' races will be coming soon along with more photos...for now I'll leave you with our results and a photo of Glen pushing his single speed to 9th during the 8 am race on Sunday morning.
Results:
Glen: Masters (34-39) 26th
Jon: Masters (40-44) 8th
Glen: Single Speed 9th
Jon : Elite Men 26th
I'll post more photos and some insight over the next few days. It's always a bitter sweet week as cross comes to a close for the year.
I can't wait for next season.
