Slow, steady steps… Ka-Pow! And Sam is in a fine samurai stance at the top of the stairs. Outlined by the doorway, he reminds me of an extra from ‘Harry-Karry’. From karate chop position, he walks through the door and often we find ourselves saying, ‘Good Morning!’ with an overly extended wave that uses the whole arm. Matt has one big leg. What makes his big leg bigger than his regular leg is a titanium rod in his shin. You wouldn’t notice unless he pointed it out to you, but his right leg is a bit bigger than his left.
Even bigger than Matt’s right leg is his heart. A strong, honest soul, he’s one of those people that can disagree without hurting anyone’s feelings.

Dave and I share milk. He typically beats me to work by at least a couple of minutes, and is on his way to the coffee pot with a bag of Big Gear Grind by the time I lug my yawning self up the stairs.

USGP….LOUVILLE
A couple weekends back was the kick off to the USGP of cross. Our good friend and racing buddy Will Black threw down with two back to back races over the weekend. On both days the heavy hitters on the national cross scene tested each other on very challenging courses. On day one Will was able to overcome setbacks to pull down 3rd place. The following day Will attacked from the gun and let wire to wire for the win. A 3rd and 1st put Will into 2nd place in the series.Nice work Will!

I was rooting for him so loudly I think I scared him. I also was an adoring fan during Sunday’s breakfast. I think I was the creepy guy as Will got up and left in a hurry!
He was smokin fast! at the races not running from me.
