Matt has one big leg. What makes his big leg bigger than his regular leg is a titanium rod in his shin. You wouldn’t notice unless he pointed it out to you, but his right leg is a bit bigger than his left.
Even bigger than Matt’s right leg is his heart. A strong, honest soul, he’s one of those people that can disagree without hurting anyone’s feelings.

Slow, steady steps… Ka-Pow! And Sam is in a fine samurai stance at the top of the stairs. Outlined by the doorway, he reminds me of an extra from ‘Harry-Karry’. From karate chop position, he walks through the door and often we find ourselves saying, ‘Good Morning!’ with an overly extended wave that uses the whole arm. Naturally we’ve gone from ancient Asia to synchronized swimming moves without a flinch…

Dave and I share milk. He typically beats me to work by at least a couple of minutes, and is on his way to the coffee pot with a bag of Big Gear Grind by the time I lug my yawning self up the stairs.

What’s in a name…Gristle 96er
I'm sure there will be some folks (all 4 of us) that read the entry about the Gristle 96er and wonder where did they get the name? Posted here is a video that inspired the name. Good stuff really, Dave D., myself and a few others here at Moots are die hard John Candy fans. The big man had a way with the funny stuff.You've got to watch the entire video...a good way to blow some time at your desk on a Friday afternoon.

That is brilliant!! That has to be up there with the all-time best names for a bike, along with the Psychlo-X and the Rigor Mootis. Salsa also has some honorable mentions (Chili con Crosso comes to mind). Some ideas for tie-ins: perhaps you can have Crank Bros, make some special-edition (John) Candy pedals that are dark red, or better yet marbled like steaks (CBros made a special-edition “Clif Bar” Candy pedal...). Or perhaps you could throw in some Paul Bunyan hats for the kids?
